Sophomore pitcher Trent Bower commits to Houston Christian
Returning right-handed pitcher Trent Bower pledged to play for Houston Christian University – a program competing at the NCAA Division I level in the Southland Conference – after his sophomore campaign with the Badgers.
The Colleyville native announced his commitment on social media Friday afternoon.
The 6-foot-4 righty earned one of the team’s four starting roles a season ago. In 2025, Bower had the third-lowest WHIP (1.61) and ranked fifth in ERA (6.37).
Last week, Bower had his best outing of the season vs. Garden City Community College, recording two strikeouts and no earned runs in two innings of work.
The upperclassman joins Aiden White (Dallas Baptist), Carson Priebe (Abilene Christian), and CJ Thornton (Wichita State) as NCAA Division I commits on the pitching staff.
