Preview: AC heads to Borger for regular season finale vs. Plainsmen
One final test remains on the 2026 docket for the Badger baseball team.
AC aims to match its program-best conference win total with a sweep over Frank Phillips College in Borger this Thursday and Friday.
The Badgers currently reside in sixth place in the conference standings with a 15-17 WJCAC record, while Frank Phillips is tied for eighth with Western Texas at 10-22.
A season ago, AC scored a program-high 68 runs en route to a clean sweep of the Plainsmen - the first since the reboot of athletics at Amarillo College in 2022.
The Badgers lead the all-time series 8-4.
AC enters the series with a statistical advantage at the plate and on the hill. The Badgers' pitching staff has a 9.14 ERA compared to the Plainsmen’s 11.67 ERA.
On offense, AC has a .346 batting average compared to FPC’s .315.
