Badger volleyball Blue Out set for conference opener on Wednesday

The Badger volleyball team’s annual Blue Out match is set for the team’s conference opener on Wednesday.

AC opens the Western Junior College Athletic Conference slate against Clarendon College tomorrow at the FirstBank Southwest Center.

The first 100 Badger fans will get a free blue Badger volleyball T-Shirt.

AC students, faculty, and staff can attend the match for free with their AC ID.

The Badgers will enter Wednesday’s matchup as the 19th ranked team at the NJCAA DI level. AC moved up one spot in the national poll on Monday after earning their first ranking in team history last week.

AC boasts a 12-3 overall record following a 3-1 showing at the Amarillo College Tournament. The Badgers’ trio of losses have been against ranked opponents in Iowa Western, Navarro College, and Blinn College.

Clarendon College has a 20-1 overall record and has yet to face a ranked opponent this season.

The teams split their two meetings a season ago as each program won on their home floor in 2024.

AC has a 7-1 record against the Bulldogs since the reboot of athletics at Amarillo College.
