Cross country returns to Hobbs for Region V Championships on Saturday

Amarillo native Lane Kenney became the first Badger men’s cross country runner to earn all-region honors during a record-setting 8K run a year ago.

The Tascosa High School alum will look to make history once again in Hobbs, New Mexico, at the NJCAA Region V Championships this Saturday.

Kenney and the Badgers begin their postseason run in the Land of Enchantment as top-20 ranked teams in the country.

The Lady Badgers enter the event ranked 17th while the men’s team sits at No. 20 in the USTFCCCA NJCAA Division I poll, released Oct. 15.

The Region V Championships are scheduled to begin with the men’s 8K race at 9:30 a.m. MDT, followed by the women’s race at 10:30 a.m. MDT.
