Badger cross country reveals 2025 schedule

The Amarillo College cross country team and head coach Sean Hargrove announced team’s upcoming fall schedule on Wednesday.

AC will begin the season in Fort Worth on Friday, Aug. 29 at the John McKenzie Invitational – hosted by Texas Christian University. The meet will take place at the AP Ranch, starting with the women’s race at 7:45 a.m.

The competition will mark the first time AC has competed in the Fort Worth area since the reboot of athletics at AC in 2022. Previously, the Badgers ran in Abilene to begin the season the last three years.

The rest of the schedule is nearly identical to the 2024 slate, with the exception of one race.

AC will take part in the Aggie Duels in Lawton, Oklahoma for the second consecutive season. The meet is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 5.

The Badgers will conclude the regular season by competing in three meets over the course of four weeks.

Hargrove’s squad is set to run in Texas Tech Open on Friday, Sept. 12, the Cameron University Duel in Lawton, OK on Friday, Sept. 26, and the New Mexico Junior College Invite II on Friday, Oct. 10.

The team is then scheduled to return to Hobbs, New Mexico for the NJCAA Region V Championships, Oct. 25, at Harry McAdams Park.

The NJCAA Division I Championships and NJCAA Half Marathon Championships will take place on Nov. 8 and Nov. 11 in Fort Dodge, Iowa at the Lakeside Municipal Golf Course.
