A two-run RBI double by David De Hoyos with the bases loaded in the second inning proved to be enough offensively for the Badgers to earn a series-opening 3-2 victory on Friday.
Grant Watkins' RBI single, which brought home Sydney Ward, during the first inning tied the contest at 1-1 heading into the second frame.
After De Hoyos' clutch hit in the second inning, the Bulldogs scored one run in the fifth inning to narrow the Badgers advantage.
AC left two baserunners stranded during the third and sixth innings.
Chris Benavidez and Bush led the Badgers with two hits apiece.
Logan Tibbett allowed four hits, one walk, and struck out two batters over seven innings.
