Aiden White pitching vs. Frank Phillips College, April 30

Badgers split series-opening doubleheader to begin season finale

Aiden White was voted on by his teammates as the Badgers' Starting Pitcher of the Year, as announced at Amarillo College's athletics banquet last Monday.

The sophomore from Prosper cemented his legacy with the AC baseball team on Friday in Borger. White punched out 10 Plainsmen batters – his second-highest total of the season -- across six innings en route to a 9-4 victory in the series opener.

The Dallas Baptist University baseball signee finished his lone season at AC with a program-record 100 strikeouts, surpassing Braylen Timmins previous record (82).
Starting shortstop

Rowin Donaldson had the team's lone triple of the contest, then followed with his first appearance on the hill this season. AC's Co-Offensive Player of the Year displayed his potential as a two-way impact player for next season.

Donaldson recorded one strikeout, no walks, and allowed one hit in the seventh and final inning of game one.

The Badgers had a 5-4 advantage heading into the last frame of game one before plating four runs with four hits and two walks.

Dylan Ray hit a single to start the seventh inning, and Gabe Compton's RBI single followed after a pair of walks. Luis Gonzales added a pair of RBIs via a two-out double, andColton McClure capped scoring in the inning with an RBI single.

Frank Phillips flipped the script on AC during game two. The Plainsmen walked off the Badgers in the 10th inning via an Angel Santana Navarro single to left field.
FPC tied the game at 4-4 during the bottom of the seventh inning to force extra innings.

After falling in a 3-0 deficit after two innings, Duncan Bowles was inserted on the mound for the Badgers for the final out of the second frame.

In what was likely the last outing of his AC career, the Amarillo native had one of his most productive outings in a Badger uniform.

Bowles finished his 5 1/3 inning stint with nine strikeouts, no walks, and one earned run. His performance enabled the AC offense to get back within striking distance.

The Badgers plated one run in each the fourth and fifth innings, followed by a two-run sixth. Jatniel McCloud's two RBI single gave AC a 4-3 lead heading into the seventh frame.

The Badgers will take a 16-18 conference record into Saturday's season finale in Borger. AC's season finale twin bill vs. the Plainsmen is set to get underway at noon.
